The film / 01

A perfect memory, an imperfect future, one choice

Iris sits alone beside a mountain lake while an unseen intelligence reconstructs the smallest details of a day she once loved: a yellow kitchen, burnt toast and a sleeping child. When she is offered the chance to remain inside that memory, the film turns toward a quieter question—whether a life is defined by what was perfect, or by the courage to continue.

Production / 02

A restrained performance held across two realities

The visual language was built around stillness, precise eyelines and small changes in Iris’s expression. Lakeshore light, wardrobe and character identity were maintained across a quiet dialogue before the story moves into a stark recovery chamber—joining two spaces through performance rather than spectacle.

Director’s note / 03

The future matters because it cannot be replayed

Before the Blue Light treats artificial intelligence as an intimate dramatic presence rather than a spectacle. Its central conflict is human: the temptation to exchange uncertainty for a flawless memory, and the courage required to choose what has not happened yet.
